Being dead certainly comes with more rules than I would have expected. You'd think you could haunt a little more freely than this.

Mm, actually, it's pretty unrestricted. I mean, compared to home - you're just stuck wandering the same spot for eternity if your soul has regrets, and you can only really communicate with the other dead. So... the fact that we can communicate with you all even through letters is an improvement!

I think the Overseers are the ones who made this happen, so - they're just erring on the side of caution. I can't blame them.
