It does make things easier when everyone already knows they should start running before you get there. Honestly, half the work is simply having a reputation. It's far harder when you're just starting out and the work available is... [ terrible ] difficult.
People always want you to prove yourself whether it's fair or not. Probably just to see if you can really handle it...but I bet they regret it later when those same people turn around and aren't afraid of anything.

Pretty sure getting paid is his favorite part. I've seen enough times he's gone after people demanding the money, but most people are good about it. Mostly. You'd think people would know what they're getting into.
