[today on the island, aerith seems to be walking through the rows of veggies at the ranch, mostly admiring the growth and thinking about maybe bringing some back to try and make up for the food at the refectory. she's probably ankle-deep in pumpkins when she looks up and sees someone familiar, immediately throwing her arm up in a wave.]

Good morning! [ari i do not know if she would have introduced herself to aerith as hawke please advise. regardless she looks pretty pleased.] Come look at how much has grown!

[okay neat that is what i thought but also fair.]

It's a little weird, right? I checked the neighborhood a little earlier, but it looks like nobody's home. And nobody's come by at all since I've been here. [so. animals doko??]

...it could be. [a few people have, in fact, suggested this is the case and she has hated it each time even though that seems likely.] A different ritual than ours, you think? Maybe that one didn't work.

[because they are furries.]

Yeah, that's...kinda the weird part about it. Everything still looks pretty peaceful here. Like they all just decided to leave on their own and never came back. At least in the town everything looked completely abandoned.
residentflorist: (Was it everything you wanted to find)

Yeah...[she's not wrong is the thing. she nudges a pumpkin with the toe of her boot.] The other thing is the position of the sun doesn't seem to change. The sky's stayed like this for a while now. I thought maybe they'd come back when the sun officially set, but it doesn't look like that's gonna be anytime soon.

I'm not sure. [it's not like she's against the concept of a place being locked in time. sounds possible, sure. but...literally why?] If it is, then the question's why, right? What would they need to time lock an island for? Unless it's to make sure nobody else can return.
residentflorist: (Can we climb this mountain)

[personal profile] residentflorist 2024-06-22 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess that's true...[still...it's weird to think about.] Maybe they really were hoping nobody would think about it too hard so it wouldn't matter in the end.
residentflorist: (So why don't we go somewhere)

[personal profile] residentflorist 2024-06-24 12:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't take this the wrong way, Hawke, but good. We need that around here probably more than ever now. [it's okay she respects it.] You'd think with over thirty of us thinking on the problem we'd have a better idea by now, but I think everyone's still lost.
residentflorist: (I'm afraid that she might think of me as)

[personal profile] residentflorist 2024-06-24 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Least we can do. Until then...guess we make the most of this and have a closer look around? We won't know what's out there if we stay still.

[and she'll lead the way! ari we can handwave the rest if you want since we have a new thread and say they explored together for a while, but up to you!]
